Ladybrook Nursery specialises in the production of container-grown trees to give impact and structure to projects. Established in 1971, the nursery grows container-grown conifers, specialising in mature specimens for ornamental screening, and hedging in heights of up to 5m.
Their specimen plants are used in commercial and domestic projects as well as public spaces, where impact, maturity and sustainability are required.
All plants are grown to the company’s own size and quality specifications, which enable them to thrive when planted out. All have been containerised in peat-reduced compost for over 12 months and many other plants are pruned twice a year to produce dense, bushy specimens.
Trees range from 10-12 to 20-25 girth. Betula jacquemontii is grown to 5m and Amelanchier canadensis is grown to 4m.
Over 70 varieties of conifers and evergreens are offered, both root-balled and container-grown in 10-1000 litre pots. Large numbers are available in the 2–3m range, with many grown to 8m.
Clients include architects, local authorities, landscape contractors, property developers and garden designers.
Based in north west England, Ladybrook offers technical advice, plant sourcing and nationwide delivery. Photographs of stock can be sent by post or email on request.
