Corten planters naturally develop a variable patina of bronze, rust and copper hues – colours which act as the perfect foil for all manner of planting schemes, both naturalistic and architectural.

Corten planters are also extremely long lasting, and require no maintenance. Also known as weathering steel, corten contains alloys that cause its surface to develop a self-protecting rust when exposed to weather that will repair itself if damaged - a characteristic which makes corten planters particularly well-suited for public realm.

Corten planters can be delivered with an initial rust layer already developed; it typically then takes from 3 to 9 months for them to fully develop their characteristic and protective patina.
