IOTA offers bespoke manufacture in corten steel, from simple squared planters to complex shapes, including the incorporation of seating, lighting and other custom detailing.
Corten planters naturally develop a variable patina of bronze, rust and copper hues – colours which act as the perfect foil for all manner of planting schemes, both naturalistic and architectural.
Corten planters are also extremely long lasting, and require no maintenance. Corten steel [aka ‘Weathering Steel’] contains alloys that cause its surface to develop a self-protecting rust when exposed to weather; and this protective surface layer will repair itself if damaged - a characteristic which makes Corten planters particularly well suited for public realm.
Planters can be delivered with an initial rust layer already developed, and It typically then takes from 3 to 9 months for corten planters to fully develop their characteristic and protective patina.
IOTA also has a range of competitively priced standard sizes and shapes in corten steel.
