The Royal Label Factory & Leander Architectural, manufacture, refurbish and install traditional cast street name plates, cast iron signs, road signs across the UK and overseas.

Cast Aluminium and Iron street signs have been produced by us for more than 100 years and many of our early plates can still be found all over the Britain and overseas. Cast street signs (nameplates) are  particularly desirable in new upmarket developments and old town conservation areas where there is always a strong demand for “the real thing”. Cast plates have also played their part in upgrading neglected neighbourhoods and districts.

We have a massive range of nameplate patterns and typefaces, including a few curious fonts dating back to 1918 and carrying such obscure names as “Nuneaton Times Roman”. We also create new designs, perhaps the most notable being the 1,400+ plates made a UK city centre. These plates were all to the same design but the typeface changed for each district – City Centre, Merchant City etc.

Unusual projects are our specialty too, such as plates for Belfast where the plate frame was cast but the letters were in the form of individual clay tiles.

Our nameplates can be supplied complete with posts and/or backboards if required. We are also experts in designing and supplying various other types of specialist street nameplates – Die-Pressed Aluminium, Vitreous Enamel, and many more
