MacMat® geomat provides long-term protection for vulnerable soil surfaces against erosion caused by rainfall, stormwater runoff, hydraulic forces, and wind. It is designed to stabilise soil slopes while supporting effective revegetation.

The geomat features a 3-dimensional, heat-tangled matrix of polymer monofilaments with over 90% void space, allowing soil to infill and lock into the mat. This structure holds soil in place, prevents wash-out, and reinforces developing root systems to promote healthy vegetation growth.

For areas subject to higher erosive forces, thicker or higher-strength MacMat® options are available to meet project requirements.

Unlike biodegradable mats, MacMat® geomats deliver long-term performance, providing sustained erosion control and root reinforcement with minimal maintenance.
