Drifter Benches use 30-40-year-old hardwood certified as 100% FSC recycled. The benches are an example of the circular economy, with a unique rustic look. They are virtually indestructible and blend well in any environment.

Drifter Benches can also be made from a sustainable wood-free alternative: Lava Grey. A 3m-long L2 Drifter Bench in this material contains recycled plastic waste produced by 15 households in a single year.

Available with one or two slats (L1/L2).

Supports are made from thick-walled corten or hot-dip galvanised steel, optionally powder-coated in an RAL colour. Dimensional deviations and irregularities in the wood are unavoidable and are an integral part of the recycling process.

  • Lava Grey

Lava Grey is made entirely from recycled household plastic waste such as packaging, cups, bags and trays. It consists of around 75% recycled PE and 25% recycled PP and has a fairly rough texture. In certain places, the anthracite grey surface reveals how the material flowed into the mould during the casting process, like a lava stream. Pieces of coloured plastic are visible in the grey mass, highlighting the origin of the recycled material. Colour and texture may vary in North America due to local production.
