Steel truss bridges
CTS has extensive experience in the design, manufacture and installation of truss footbridges in a variety of locations across the UK. Bow-string truss bridges can incorporate lighting and decorative features. CTS has designed and fabricated Vierendeel steel trusses in lengths of 5m upwards. Steel and timber bridges
Steel and timber bridges are one of CTS's most versatile and cost-effective options. They are ideal for bridge spans from 10-30m. Bespoke hardwood timber bridges
Woodscape's bridges are engineered and manufactured in Naturally Very Durable Hardwood to exacting standards. Footbridges and light vehicular access bridges have single spans up to 16 metres – longer bridges are possible using multiple spans and supports. Timber footbridges - hardwood and softwood
Timber bridges can be made from solid hardwood or softwood, dowel-laminated hardwood, or glue-laminated hardwood or softwood. Fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) bridges are suitable for areas that are difficult to access. The lightweight components are easy to man-handle and can be installed without the use of heavy machinery.
