The Traversing Wall offers a physical challenge for children of all ages as they move along the wall using only hand and foot grips. These have been placed in such a way that it is not possible to gain much height.
The wall is constructed from a timber frame and tough dark brown slip-resistant birch plywood boards with large wire mesh pattern. The upright timbers are concreted into the ground. Postsaver sleeves are fitted at the ground-line section of all timber posts that are extended into the ground to keep the cause of ground rot out and the preservative in, ensuring that the equipment will last for many years.
The specially designed coloured rock climbing holds are suitable for hands and feet, excellent for developing upper and lower body strength and coordination.
Due to the height of the foot holds safety surfacing is not required. Where installed on grass the company suggests using grass safety mats around the product to prevent ground erosion.
Where installed on tarmac a 20mm rubber wetpour surfacing can be laid to a distance of 1.5m around the product.
The size can be made to suit the space in 1.2m multiples.
This product is a good standalone feature product for a commercial organisation to increase footfall and offer something a little bit more unusual.
