SoluForm's topsoil-filled MSE bagwork consists of soil-filled geotextile bags held in place by spikes or pins. The bagwork is prefilled, arriving to site ready to place.
The soil allows for the establishment and promotion of vegetation growth, both on and inside the bagwork. This not only greens up the bagwork to improve its appearance, it strengthens the bagwork structure and improves riverbank habitat and biodiversity.
Bags are held together and prevented from moving by the inclusion of spiked shear keys between the courses of the bagwork. An equal number of shear keys are included along with the bags.
For bagwork underwater typically SoluForm's concrete filled underwater bagwork is used to create a firm and secure foundation onto which the soil filled bags are placed.

Planting
The goal of all MSE bagwork products is to establish planting in / on the bagwork, to establish growth and increase biodiversity. Rooting within and between the bags helps to maintain the structural integrity of the bagwork.
The establishment of planting can be achieved in a number of ways including:
Hydroseeding - this involves spraying the bagwork after installation with a seed mix that germinates and grows on the bagwork
Live planting - plugs and plants are inserted into the gaps and joints between the bags
Covering with topsoil
Covering with turf or pre-vegetated wildflower mats
