The Polycrib retaining wall system is made in Britain from UK-generated plastic waste and has the environmental benefit of diverting tonnes of waste from going to landfill. 120-year design life. BBA HAPAS certified.

Common uses

  • Most retention applications and heights in different ground conditions.

  • Aesthetically pleasing system that can be landscaped.

  • Popular for residential and commercial developments.

  • Recycled plastic crib walls have been widely used on highways schemes across the UK.

Process

Phi Group's Polycrib recycled plastic crib wall system is manufactured using plastic waste from the UK, by Plastecowood at its factory in North Wales. The various products that they produce use 40 million plastic containers every year, saving 1 million kgs of carbon going to landfill.

An alternative to Phi Group's timber and concrete crib wall systems, Polycrib uses header and stretcher components to create silos that are filled with a graded stone to give it the required mass. Its unique design minimises the number of components required to make it as cost effective as possible.
