The Chelsea heavy-duty, modern hardwood seat is manufactured in Branson Leisure's Essex workshops using traditional techniques. All major joints are mortised, tenoned and dowelled. The timber remains in its natural form with principal end grain waxed. Water and other oil-based finishes are available on request. Standard lengths - 1.5, 2 and 2.5m

Materials
The Chelsea range of street furniture is made from Iroko (Chlorophora excelsa) sourced from West Africa. This highly-durable hardwood has an attractive grain that will withstand the weather all year round. The company is particularly careful to buy timber from countries belonging to the International Tropical Timber Organisation, all of which have accepted ITTO guidelines for the sustainable production of tropical timber.
