Outdoor play equipment specialist Proludic has put the finishing touches to an existing play area at Marford Road.

Marford Road play area already had existing equipment, however there was nothing that catered for the toddler or junior age range.

The Parish wanted to improve sport and play areas within Wheathampstead and Marford Road was one of them. We teamed up with the Parish Council and over 2 years, and a number of designs, we managed to support them and create a scheme the community would appreciate.

We installed 2 multi play units, a Diablo Unit which caters for children 2+ years and an Ixo Unit which is more challenging and designed for 6+ years. The park also includes 2 Altima’s side by side so the older children can challenge each other and see who can reach the flag at the top first.

The focal point, which has become very popular with the children, is the Zip Wire which spans the length of the play area. Tomas Harrison, 10, said: “I think the new playground is awesome. I love the zip wire and new equipment because it’s for older children and really good fun”.
