Strategic Team Group, based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, undertook its fifth scheme for Yorkshire Housing on a social housing site at Waterloo Mount in Pudsey. When completed, the project will provide 22 new two- and three-bedroom homes.
This site featured sloping ground conditions and there was a need to cut into the large embankment and subsequently retain the land behind.
Solution
Over 450m2 of Anderton Concrete's Stepoc shuttering system was used.
Parts of the Stepoc were brick-faced to provide an aesthetic backdrop to the rear gardens of the new properties, while in other areas, the Stepoc shuttering forms the rear wall to the split-level homes.
Outcome
Stepoc's strength and versatility met Strategic Team Group's requirements which led them to use the product on another sloping site in Barnsley where a further 30 properties will be built. The company also plans to use the Stepoc again on future projects.
