A splashpad is a safe, clean and sustainable water play area that is suitable for children of all ages and abilities. The play equipment encourages interaction and cognitive thinking. Play equipment ranges from a Water Journey inspired by nature, complete with a water pump and weirs to water cannons, tipping buckets, spraying trees and flowers and Elevations™ that offer multi-level play and climbing and sliding. A majority of splashpads provide a  multitude of water play in an area without any water depth making it entirely accessible and inclusive.

The majority of splashpad facilities are provided with a PWTAG compliant water management system enabling one body of water to be treated and recycled for play. A PWTAG compliant water management system ensures water players have the cleanest and safest water to play in.
