Support: The rigid interlocking cells transfer the weight of traffic direct to the sub-base beneath, protecting grass and stabilising gravel. This reduces wear strips, rutting, uneven surfaces and gravel scattering beyond where it is laid.

Permeable: The open structure of the cells (90% of surface area is porous) allows rainwater to pass through to the absorbent soil below, replenishing groundwater and reducing rainwater runoff into the sewerage system.

Access: The cells lock the gravel in place, preventing scatter beyond where it is laid and aiding access for pedestrians, prams, wheelchairs, wheelbarrows, bikes and domestic vehicles.

ACO GroundGuard makes grass and gravel easier and safer to move across and allows rainwater to permeate into the ground where it lands, while allowing the elegance of lawn or gravel to shine through.

ACO GroundGuard grants access for all

The dimensions of ACO GroundGuard's cells and their close-knit structure ensures when trafficked by a walking stick ferrule or cycle wheel, the surface remains smooth and undisturbed. The tiles can be easily cut to abut to an adjoining surface, ensuring an easy access from one surface to another. Therefore ACO GroundGuard is suitable for use in Building Regulations Part M compliant installations in England and Wales and Building Standards Section 4 compliant installations in Scotland
