Once a design is signed off, the next question for any architect or main contractor is who's going to install it. Waterscapes manages every installation in-house with their own engineers and fitters, covering both the mechanical and electrical sides of the work.

Waterscapes have installed water features and irrigation systems on some of the UK's most visible commercial developments, from Battersea Power Station and Eden Dock to private rooftop schemes and heritage estates. Whatever the scale, the same in-house team handles the work from first fix through to commissioning and handover.

An in-house team, not subcontracted

A lot of water feature failures Waterscapes get called to investigate trace back to fragmented installation. Different trades handling pump installation, electrical work and final commissioning, without any single party owning the whole system.

Waterscapes works differently. Their engineers and fitters are directly employed. They've installed every type of feature, from large rooftop schemes to floating fountains on commercial lakes, and they understand the design intent because they're part of the team that produced it.

For programme certainty, that matters. Main contractors get one point of contact for the whole water feature or irrigation package, and the project moves faster because nothing's waiting on a separate sub. If something needs adjusting on site, the people doing the work have the authority to make the call.

Accreditations and guarantees

Waterscapes is an NICEIC approved electrical contractor, so every electrical installation is fully certified to BS 7671. Certification is issued by us at completion, ready for handover to the client and their facilities team.

They're also accredited by BALI (the British Association of Landscape Industries), which requires audited standards of workmanship, health and safety, and client service. Membership has to be re-earned each year and is a meaningful mark of quality in the landscape sector.

Every completed installation, whatever the size, is covered by a workmanship guarantee. If something fails because of how it was installed, Waterscapes come back and put it right. Combined with their maintenance contracts, that gives clients a single clear line of responsibility from design through to long-term operation.
