Knotweed Barrier 600 is an impermeable woven HDPE root barrier coated with a triple layer of film LDPE to prevent roots from lifting concrete, tarmac or other paving. Designed to contain invasive Japanese Knotweed, it has a 25-year design life once buried, and conforms to the Environment Agency’s ‘Knotweed code of Practice’.
An amendment to the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 includes Japanese Knotweed and other invasive non-native plants.
Knotweed Barrier 600 can be installed vertically around the perimeter of a development to prevent lateral ingress of roots, or horizontally over the development to protect roads, paved surfaces, floored areas and buildings.
