Smart benches installed in Dunstable town centre are an essential part of the council’s masterplan to elevate the town’s identity, enhance visitor experience, improve accessibility and support environmental sustainability.

Modern infrastructure was required that not only met the community’s everyday needs but also aligned with larger objectives of environmental responsibility and revitalised public spaces. Traditional seating options provided basic functionality but lacked a broader focus on sustainability and innovation. The chosen model, the solar-powered Blade Bench WYC1817, addresses these needs with a contemporary approach.
