Steintec is working proactively with designers, engineers and contractors on phase 2 of Ennis town centre's regeneration
Steintec is supplying its high-performance paving mortar plus design assistance, on-site training and supervision to the redevelopment of Ennis town centre.
Following the successful completion of phase 1, work has begun on phase 2.
With narrow streets, the challenge has been to engineer construction to minimise disruption to businesses and the public.
The second phase aims to create a more attractive location to visit and live in and to make the streets (O’Connell Street, High Street and Bank Place) more accessible by replacing the current streetscape with a shared surface pavement.
O'Connell Square, Barrack Square and Cathedral will also be transformed as part of this regeneration. The plaza areas will be expanded, including urban planting, street trees and an interactive public fountain.
Work undertaken
Steintec is working proactively with designers Nicholas de Jong Associates, Co Clare engineers, contractor Shareridge and layworks contractor Premier Paving to provide a fully-rounded and comprehensive support package in addition to the supply of the required high-performance paving mortars and ironworks placement mortars.
