Installation

Must be installed with a gravel board to comply with 25-year guarantee terms, slotted posts that are adapted for cables, and capping rail, which is essential to conceal the cable.

Once the fence is installed, the solar panels need connecting to a mains / inverter system (not provided), by a MCS certified / qualified solar PV installer that is also a member of a CPS from microgeneration technology, such as NICEIC.

JaksunTM can be installed as a standalone fence panel between slotted posts, or on top of another timber fence panel between slotted posts. Increased efficiency and performance is expected when panels are raised off the ground.

In the photos it is seen on top of Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels at 600mm high, a gravel board at 140mm high, and capping at 20mm high, giving a fence height of 1930mm.

Other panel combinations are available but anything over 2m high will generally require planning permission. Please note, the solar fence panels cannot be cut down in any way. If the end of the run requires cutting to width, then Jacksons recommends using a full height panel to match the same as the panel installed under Jaksun.
