Challenge

eibe Play was approached by Holmbush Primary Academy to replace an existing rotten play item that was no longer fit for purpose.

Solution

eibe Play carried out a detailed on-site consultation with the school and its pupils to determine requirements and to choose the play item that would most benefit the childrens' development.

After the consultation, the Manaslu play unit was selected.

The school was drawn to this item's unique play opportunities, including the wobbly bridge, climbing ramp and slide. These play items help promote key development skills such as eye-hand coordination, upper and lower body strength, and teamwork, which were very important for the school.

Working in partnership with a locally-based installer, the Manaslu was installed onto a tricky slope within the school playground. A brand new surface of artificial grass was chosen to go underneath the unit to comply with regulations and to keep the children as safe as possible.

The installation was carried out during the February half-term break and went without a hitch.

Outcome

The initial feedback from the school is that the children love their new multi-play climbing item and, with the support of eibe Play, will do so for years to come.
