Every element of the business has been scrutinised and every aspect of their sourcing and supply of soils, aggregates and waste management services audited.
Applying for and achieving ISO 9001 quality standards is an important step in the company’s journey of continuous improvement and commitment to customer focus, product and service quality and consistency. Managing Director Shazna Ali is keen to move the business forward, achieving Constructionline Gold status in their 25th anniversary year in 2022 as well as Achilles Utility Vendor accreditation in the same year. She said: “All of our systems and principles have been operating at the highest quality levels since we began supplying civil engineering and construction projects back in the 1990s. Attaining ISO 9001 adds that extra layer of credibility and assurance for our customers – something we’re always keen to support and promote.”
MCM have had their online portal for the last three years. The streamlining this affords its customers means that they can select and order products in volume, load or bags and can track orders with text alerts for real-time delivery notifications. The portal has removed the need for delivery ticket scanning and allows for swift, traceable and accurate order-to-invoice processing.
The company also introduced online ordering in 2023 at www.mcm-se.com for new and existing customers who want to select and purchase any of the soils and aggregates materials available. This includes their specialist mixes such as bioretention soils and lightweight substrates. “Introducing these digital platforms simplifies the supply chain yet further, helping customers, allowing for accurate reporting and planning, including waste auditing.” continues Ali. “We are serious about providing a consistent quality product and service, and working with partners who are committed to doing the same”.
