SecureGuard SL3X mesh security fencing and has passed attack testing by the LPCB to LPS 1175 C5, D3 and E1.
The panel consists of a double skin of SecureGuard SL2X panels, a panel of 358 mesh which has 10mm-diameter vertical wires. Once doubled up, the two 10mm-diameter wires make cut-through problematic for LPS 1175 tool sets C, D and E.
This smart design means the fence will prevent:
(C5) A persistent attacker using a wide selection of commonly available powered tooling from gaining access for more than 5 minutes
(D3) An experienced attacker using powered tooling such as a 12v grinder and jigsaw from gaining access for more than 3 minutes
(E1) An experienced attacker using powered tooling of greater battery power such as an 18v reciprocating or circular saw and 18v jigsaw for more than 60 seconds
Being double layered, SecureGuard SL3X banishes the need for additional, expensive anti-cut bars, usually found in LPS 1175 B3 (sR2) and C5 (SR3). The panels are positioned, aligned on site and secured together using Barkers' profix bracket.
The system's flanged posts make it difficult to attack, the post to panel connection is protected. The front panel also needs to be buried 150mm into the ground or bolted down using an angle to prevent the bottom of the panel from being listed.
Under the LPS 1175 C5 certification the minimum height available is 2.4m high. SecureGuard SL3X is ideal for data centre security fencing or securing water infrastructure and power generation.
For extra deterrent against climbing, the panels can be curved outwards 250mm from the top creating an overhang, or can be supplied with other anti-climb toppings.
This is an innovative system which protects against an extremely wide range of tool sets used by a persistent or experienced attacker. Battery-powered tooling is widely available and has been seen in more recent protests. 60 seconds or 3 minutes of the noise created by grinding or sawing will attract attention, heightening the risk of the attacker being caught.
