Managing rising temperatures

The IPCC of the United Nations has advised heat waves are expected to become more frequent, more intense and longer lasting because of climate change.

Trending worldwide is more planting, climate shelters, cooling stations and less carbon emissions to slow the rate of climate change.

Cooling stations

Cooling stations are being established to help communities to continue enjoying outdoors and are especially being welcomed in city centres where the population is greater and the temperatures are higher.

Water features are known to reduce heat stress by reducing the temperature of the surface and the air; this being the reason why many town and city centres are seen with a plaza water feature and permeable paving - the perfect partnership for this environment.

Cooling stations reduce air, surface and body temperatures and they are a fun, inclusive and sustainable solution to beat heat stress!

Water-misting products for cooling stations

Refresh and Glomist help keep people cool and active outdoors on hot summer days.

Refresh is an attractive, arched product with a UV-stable toe guard that produces 2 refreshing misty water effects.

Glomist produces refreshing, misty water jets and has solar LEDs that glow at night. It is offered at two heights with 3 or 5 misty water jets. The solar cell battery is rechargeable.

Refresh and Glomist are low-consumption water-misting products that are fed from potable water, making them economic to run and environmentally-friendly to local landscape.
