Play grade bark is designed to perform well in many situations providing a cost-effective solution to many gardening problems. It has excellent weed suppression and water retention properties and will retain its decorative appearance for many years.
Its fire-resistant characteristics make it very suitable for commercial schemes as a landscaping mulch as well as an ornamental decorative garden bark for a wildflower garden.
Pine nuggets are non-staining and frost-resistant and will last for up to 6 years when installed to a depth of 350mm.
To ensure safety for play areas this bark is tested to BS EN 1177:1998, making it an ideal alternative to synthetic play surfaces.
