The slope uses galvanised steel cages with stone infill
Phi Group carried out the design, supply and installation of a Textomur reinforced soil slope for Winvic at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal.
The Textomur reinforced soil slope is an extension to an existing Textomur slope and, for this project, the Textomur uses galvanised steel cages with a stone infill to the front face, installed at a 70° angle.
With the extension in place the Textomur slope will be just under 1km long. It has been installed over three phases. For the current phase of the DIRFT development Phi Group has also carried out the installation of two Shay Murtagh Hexlok concrete panel reinforced soil structures, and also gabion basket retaining walls.
