Rite-Edge Standard is a multi-award-winning aluminium lawn edging system designed by landscape architects to keep a pristine, neat garden appearance with perfect straight edges, corners, curves and shapes around borders, lawns and pathways.

It is very easy to install and is used by both professional landscapers and garden enthusiasts to achieve a ‘just edged’ look without hours of difficult edging and spade work.

Materials and installation

Rite-Edge is manufactured in aluminium alloy 6063 to a T6 hardness so no painting, staining, rusting or replacing is required as the product is designed to last at least 27 years. Being light, aluminium is easy to handle and comes in long lengths with a unique telescopic design to make installation very neat, quick and easy, secured in place with barbed fixing stakes. The profile has a smooth round top edge, so there are no sharp edges to damage lawn mower blades, and a castellated body which gives maximum strength for heavy lawn mowers and prevents lifting by frost.

Joining lengths is easy due to Rite-Edge’s telescopic design whereby one piece slides into another. A 5cm overlap at the side of each joint is recommended. For a flush fit, a small piece of Rite-Edge can simply be placed behind the joint and the pieces slid together at the front. Generally around 4% in the length calculation for the joints is recommended. Alternatively, packs of joining pieces can be purchased separately.

Colour options

Rite-Edge is available in a range of five colours: Green, Brown, Black, Anthracite Grey and Natural Aluminium finish.

Dimensions

Each length measures 2.4m and is sold in packs of 14 lengths giving 33.6m per pack. Smaller packs are available in Natural and Brown with a shorter length of 1.2m and sold in 4 lengths per pack giving 4.8m per pack overall.

Edging height is 100mm.
