Meadowmat Species Rich Lawn is ideal for creating an informal lawn that is both pretty and pollinator-friendly, as well as being hardwearing, incredibly easy to care for, and a real asset to biodiversity.

A blend of 12 species of slow-growing grasses with 23 types of colourful pollinator-friendly native perennial plants results in a multi-coloured carpet of plants.

The specially selected grasses ensure full coverage all year round, even in winter when the flowering plants are asleep. In hot, dry summers Meadowmat Species Rich Lawn will keep its colour for longer than a standard grass lawn and will recover from drought much quicker.

Installation

Each slab of Meadowmat Species Rich wildflower turf measures 500mm wide by 1000mm long so two slabs will cover 1m².

Install Meadowmat Species Rich Lawn just like standard lawn turf. It needs to be laid onto prepared soil. Unlike most types of Meadowmat Species Rich Lawn can tolerate slightly more nutrient-rich soils. Keep the new lawn watered until the roots are well established.

Maintenance

Meadowmat Species Rich Lawn only needs mowing every other week, but it won’t grow to much more than ankle height. It’s specially designed for a relaxed maintenance regime.
