Challenge

Dulwich College was founded in 1619 by Edward Alleyn. Well known for its high standards of education, the all boys school is one of the largest independent colleges in the UK.

A college campus can prove a very challenging environment for visitors, and controlling visitor behaviour and improving their experience is of paramount importance to governors.

Solution

In developing new signage for Dulwich College Fitzpatrick Woolmer undertook a complete audit of existing signs and gained a thorough understanding of the site and its challenges. By interviewing staff and monitoring visitor behaviour the company identified the Touch Points and Decision Points throughout the campus and developed a clear and effective signage scheme that reinforced the Dulwich College brand.

Enigma™ monoliths were used throughout the scheme to guide pedestrians and vehicular traffic, with rail-mounted n-viro™ prints and window manifestations to welcome visitors.
