Balau smooth hardwood decking is a bespoke product made to order to accommodate specific requirements. It is an extremely dense and durable hardwood that is naturally resistant to insect and fungal attack. 

Boards are smooth on both faces with eased edges and the colour ranges from light through to dark brown. When the different shades are fitted together, an impressive, contemporary look is achieved that is particularly striking in the wet.

Can be fitted using ArchiDeck hidden deck fastenings.

Board lengths

Balau boards are generally 2-5m in length. Precise stocks do vary, but Round Wood will aim to match a client's required tally. Decking boards may be supplied over length, therefore the fitter will need the correct tools on site to cut them down. 

Grading

Grading guidelines allow for Balau to contain small holes known as pinworm – these are in no way detrimental to the structure of the timber.
