The Hoop youth shelter is designed and manufactured by Handspring for public spaces such as playground. The structure is designed as a fun, interesting and safe place to hang out, offering a multitude of seating and play possibilities, inside and out.

Construction

The Hoop shelter is made from oak and steel - steel at low level and for roofing, and oak for seating, warmth and detail. The shelter was designed by Handspring though workshops in partnership with local young people.

All work is bespoke, so the shelter can be made larger or smaller if required, and more elements can be added to suit individual site requirements and project budgets.

Delivery and installation

The Hoop shelter is delivered to site by lorry, requires minimal foundations, and can be installed by Handspring Design.
