Sona is an audio-interactive play arch specially designed for the outdoors. Over 100 have been placed in schools, the public realm, recreational facilities, and even senior homes.

A motion camera in the top of the arch registers the movements of players on the play floor beneath. There are 10 games available, all of which can be interchanged remotely through the 3G network by a phone, computer or tablet.

The strength of the Sona is the connection to the server and being able to track how many hours it is being played, and which games are the favourites. This is a great way to show increase in activities in areas and promote physical and mental wellbeing.

Lappset's Sona shows how technology can be used in a positive way to encourage play - acting as a facilitator for children, young people and the elderly to create their own playful experiences.
