Over 10 miles of new carriageway and 10 hectares of adjacent land including The Bowl was hydroseeded with a special wildflower seed mix.

The A417 (Brockworth Bypass) now links Gloucester with Cirencester and gives the city a new junction with the M5 to the north.

As the bypass cuts through farmland great consideration was given to the potential impact on the surrounding environment.

RMB was able to provide a hydroseeding service that incorporated special wildflower and grass seeds native to the area so that damage to the existing ecology would be kept to an absolute minimum.

During the life of the contract RMB was provided a maintenance service to the main contactor, including the cutting of the steep embankments either side of the carriageway with the use of specialist alpine mowing equipment.
