Emma Stothard’s work takes inspiration from the wildlife and landscape around her in Yorkshire. Sculptures are formed from a fabricated steel frame which is then handwoven either in willow or wire. Mild steel wire sculptures are hot-dipped galvanised and can be powder-coated. Drawn phosphor bronze wire sculptures offer another permanent solution
Sculpture
Having trained in traditional willow weaving and basket making, Emma now works in willow to sculpt a wide variety of forms. She is particularly well known for her animal sculptures. She now exhibits nationally and internationally and her sculptures gracies the grounds of stately homes, galleries and private homes and gardens around the country
