The impressive feature seating drew inspiration from the architecture of the nearby cathedral and used traditional joinery techniques now rarely seen in street furniture.
Solution
The seating was primarily manufactured from FSC hardwood with some stainless steel elements, and demonstrates a commitment to quality and attention to detail that are trademarks of Factory Furniture's work.
The project called for double and single sided formats. The double sided benches stand on their own while the single sided benches are linked together in a chain.
The seating was designed to be hardwearing and removable without having to lift surrounding paving.
