The circulation system was designed to draw water from one end of the pond and return it at two points on the other side
To raise dissolved oxygen levels within the water, a floating fountain manufactured by Kasco was installed
As part of the wider improvement programme, the client and main contractor created reed beds at each end of the pond
Following the works at Birchfield Gardens, water is now in continuous circulation, oxygen levels are actively maintained
The works at Birchfield Gardens have significantly improved conditions within the pond
