Overview
This 10,000m2 indoor tropical garden called The Orchard, is part of an expansion undertaken at the Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
This garden, with a 268m2 water feature, was designed to be a focal point for all travellers and it accomplishes that goal with ease. Featuring more than 300 trees and over 25 thousand plants and shrubs, The Orchard benefits from lots of natural light, and an approach designed to create a calming ambiance and promote a sense of wellbeing.
The unique design of The Orchard allows the trees and plants to adapt to the internal conditions and grow throughout the life of the airport.
Products supplied
Through WT Burdens, Platipus Anchors' distributor in Doha, stainless steel Deadman Systems (RF2RDMIP / RF3RDMIP) and Eyebolt System (RF4RIP) were supplied to local contractor Urban Landscapes. These were expertly installed and provided permanent support to the trees.
