Overview

Cycle-Works collaborated with Portsmouth City Council and local architects Re-Format to deliver cycling infrastructure at Brewery House - a recently converted historic building in Portsmouth that has been transformed into 17 high-quality Build to Rent homes.

The Project

As part of the conversion, Cycle-Works supplied and installed a full suite of cycling amenities for residents, including folding bike lockers (which also serve as secure general storage), Rounded A racks, and a wheeling ramp. These features provide a practical and secure setup for residents who cycle regularly, covering everything from bike storage and security to ease of access within the building.

The Setting

Brewery House is a historic Portsmouth site that has been brought back into use as residential accommodation. The inclusion of modern cycling infrastructure signal a commitment to sustainable and active living. By providing lockers, racks, and a wheeling ramp a practical barrier that might put residents off cycling is removed.
