Velo Lockers for secure cycle parking at Halton Leisure Centre
The brand new Halton Leisure Centre, designed by Ellis Williams Architects and built by Wates Group, incorporated secure cycle parking with Cycle-Works supplying and installing the infrastructure.
The Project
Four double-sided Velo-Box lockers were installed at the site, providing secure storage for up to eight bikes. The lockers have a three-point locking system and a weatherproof design, protecting cycles from the elements and theft.
The centre is operated by Halton Borough Council's Active Halton team, and the inclusion of secure cycling infrastructure from day one reflects a commitment to making the venue accessible by bike.
The Product
The Velo-Box double-sided locker has a three-point locking mechanism for protection. The enclosed design protects bikes from weather.
By working with Ellis Williams Architects and Wates Group, Cycle-Works helped ensure that cyclists arriving at Halton Leisure Centre have a safe, reliable place to leave their bikes.
