Designed by Juliet Sargeant, the raised beds in the garden have been designed to look like cracked clay and perform various functions within the garden, not least to make it a practical teaching space. Caroline explains that, not only do the raised beds need no maintenance, they use less water, provide a safe space for children with no splinters, and best of all, the plants themselves seem to prefer them
