Handspring designed, manufactured and installed a timber-framed shelter with a wildflower green roof as the centerpiece for a wellbeing garden for staff at St James Hospital in Leeds.

UK-grown FSC-certified Douglas Fir timber was used for the frame, traditionally jointed and draw dowelled. The roof includes drain chains.

This is one of a number of projects around the country designed and managed by the Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) aimed at bringing nature and a daytime sanctuary for staff into the heart of busy hospitals.
