In a comprehensive heat assessment conducted by Sports Labs Ltd following FIFA Test Method 14, CocoTurf infilled with sand achieved the lowest surface temperature of all six surface types tested, reaching just 52.4 °C (Category 1–2).

This is significantly cooler than conventional artificial turf infilled with sand and SBR, which recorded the highest temperature of 69.8 °C (Category 3).
