Challenge

St Bede’s School in Redhill has expanded rapidly, and its existing outdoor furniture was aging and underutilised. Traditional benches failed to support the way students like to socialise - group seating was rare and the area felt neglected.

Project journey

HAGS responded within hours of the school’s initial enquiry and worked to an urgent timeline. From site survey to final install, delivery and assembly were seamless. Despite the rapid turnaround, quality was never compromised. Within days of completion, students and visitors were already enjoying the new seating configuration.

Product differentiation

The Rosenlund modular seating range offered a fresh alternative to standard benches, allowing flexible group layouts and a contemporary aesthetic. HAGS Area Manager Jilly Saunders visited the site to advise on design and placement, ensuring the furniture complemented the school’s architecture and circulation paths. By transforming a forgotten corner into a vibrant social hub, St Bede’s gained both an attractive gathering space for students' social time or outdoor learning opportunities.
