We are thrilled to introduce our latest product launch at Wicksteed Leisure – the Metroplex multiplay unit range. Designed for children aged 6 and up, this innovative collection of play equipment is packed with exciting physical and sensory play opportunities that encourage children to explore, challenge themselves and play alongside their peers.
The Metroplex Range is a playground experience like no other. Featuring thrilling slides, twisting climbing elements, and impressive static structures, it offers something for everyone. Each piece has been meticulously engineered to provide durability and endless fun, while the variety of sensory and musical play panels adds an extra layer of engagement. Multiple access levels ensure that every child can enjoy the full spectrum of play opportunities, fostering creativity, inclusivity and a sense of adventure.
At the heart of this new range lies the inspiring story of Mia Opoku Agyeman, an 11-year-old from Northampton, whose creative vision played a pivotal role in its development.
Our journey with Mia began with Wicksteed Park’s Playground Design Competition in 2023. Armed with a newfound knowledge of CAD design, Mia crafted a vision that captured the hearts and imaginations of all who saw it, ultimately winning the competition.
Through close collaboration with our team at Wicksteed, Mia’s design evolved into The Beanstalk Dream, an enchanting play structure that has since become a cherished addition to Wicksteed Park.
On the day of the launch, Mia had the honour of cutting the ceremonial ribbon and was the first to take an exhilarating journey down The Beanstalk. Her creative vision and personal touch are woven into every aspect of the design, making it a true reflection of the boundless potential that comes from dreaming big.
