Context

Omos seating, planters, tree grilles and cycle stands were selected by Kildare County Council to elevate both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the Kilcullen Road Active Travel Scheme.

Opened in April 2024, the project involved a significant overhaul of the cycling infrastructure for this county town in Ireland. In partnership with the National Transport Authority, its goal was to improve the accessibility and safety of cycling in Naas.

Work undertaken

Omos collaborated with the designers to enhance the overall experience of the scheme. A wide range of products was supplied to fill unused spaces along the route, encouraging users to stop and enjoy the amenities the area has to offer.

This scheme is an important step in making the Greater Dublin Area a more sustainable community.
