Overview
Langley Design manufactured, supplied and installed cycle shelters, seating and bin stores for Crosspoint Business Park in Coventry.
Requirement
This 780,000 sq ft new industrial space, located close to the M6, needed ample cycle parking for the influx of employees to ensure bicycles were sheltered from the elements.
Solution
Cycle shelter
Six Malford modular steel frame cycle shelters (MCS201), made to bespoke sizes to fit in with site requirements, were installed across the business park.
Cycle hoops
108 Malford cycle hoops (MCR200) with cross rails give an extra level of security within the shelters, and give owners peace of mind whilst leaving their bikes unattended.
Seating
Six Sheldon grey granite plinth-mounted benches with class 4 treated redwood tops (SBN304) are dotted around the site. They are robust but still provide a comfortable place for people to sit on their breaks or to enjoy lunch.
Bin stores
Three Sheldon bin stores (SBS304) were also supplied. These can be altered to allow the required number of bins to be housed, depending on site requirements. They feature a class 4 treated redwood and an R32 roof, which is available with various colour options.
Outcome
The galvanised steel cycle shelters will stand the test of time in this industrial environment whilst still looking aesthetically pleasing.
