Overview
CTS Bridges installed a new 3-span bridge for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians over the Ryhope Doxford Link Road in Sunderland using a 250-tonne crane.
Project detail
The non-motorised user bridge comprises three spans of 20 x 33.5m and 20m and has an internal width of 4.2m. It is designed as a bow arch U-frame Warren truss bridge.
The bridge has a 1.8m parapet for equestrian use with a Hi-Grip Excel non-slip deck in durable Ekki hardwood.
The client, Esh Construction, secured the contract from Sunderland Council for the Ryhope Doxford Link Road.
