Challenge

Hauraton supplied an efficient surface drainage solution for the external areas of Symphony Kitchen's new and extremely busy distribution unit in Grimethorpe.

The applications were varied, with large car parking areas, entrance roads and busy delivery and service areas. A flexible approach was required in considering efficient and cost-effective drainage solutions.

Solution

Colin Taff, Regional Project Manager at Hauraton, proposed the RECYFIX HICAP drainage channel system for the large concrete surface service areas. This gave a cost-effective, durable solution for areas that would be subjected to heavy and dynamic vehicles.

KERBFIX kerb drainage solution was chosen for the entrance roads and sections of the car parks.

Products supplied

RECYFIX HICAP: high-capacity slot drainage for heavy loads

With a load rating up to F 900, the RECYFIX HICAP system brought the following benefits to the project:

  • Pre-assembled, lightweight and compact channel units for quick and easy installation on site
