Angled shelters

The base frames are made from galvanised steel box section, with UK FSC Douglas fir timber for the rest of the structure. They have been designed to be self-supporting, enabling them to sit on the school roof or playground without fixing down.

The shelters feature a sedum green roof, seating on three sides, and SuDS planters.

SuDS planters

The wooden SuDS planters use the run-off from the green roof and have soil at the top and a water reservoir below with slow water release, so they temporarily store the rainwater. They also have a permanent water storage tank at one end so that the children can water the planting beds during dry weather.
