Challenge

Langley Design was approached by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to provide some external seating for The Garden House in Rotherham, a charity that provides public access to its gardens as well as education and training by supporting those looking to enjoy a career in horticulture.

The criteria was to provide a product in recycled plastic that could maximise the seating area, be suitable for wheelchair access and come within its budget.

Solution

Langley Design recommended Pewsham PPT405 picnic tables in recycled plastic. The tables sit 6 people but are also completely adaptable to allow for wheelchair access.

Recycled plastic is tough, durable and strong and doesn’t degrade with age making it practically maintenance-free. As it comes from sustainable recycled materials, this diverts waste away from landfill and the end product can be recycled endless times with an infinite amount of uses.
