Overview

Langley Design was specified by KKA Architecture to manufactured and installed six curved Sheldon benches for the external garden area at true student accommodation in Birmingham, a mixture of 399 self-contained studio bedrooms and cluster room apartments.

Located centrally within the city offering easy access to the local shops and restaurants of the Bullring and New Street railway station, the new building also offers spaces for the students to study, exercise, relax and socialise.

Project detail

The company utilised its Sheldon bench SBN307, manufactured in durable treated Class 4 Redwood timber. This product is customisable to ensure the curves perfectly match the surrounding landscaped areas. The timbers are supported by a long-lasting galvanised steel frame, ensuring the benches remain as good as new in the years to come.
